Coming into Week 13 of the NFL regular season, most NFL fans had the matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles circled on their calendars, with these two teams talking a lot of trash leading up to this NFC heavyweight showdown.
Even though the Eagles had the best record in the league coming into this matchup on their home field, the 49ers were prepared and ready to make a statement against the team that had lost only one game all season long.
It was a rematch of the NFC Championship Game, in which the 49ers couldn’t give it their all due to injuries piling up, namely quarterback Brock Purdy going down with an injury early in the game that required offseason surgery.
With the 49ers at full strength coming into this matchup, it was bound to be a fight with neither team backing down.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, this turned out to be a one-sided affair, with the 49ers coming out on top in convincing fashion at Lincoln Financial Field.

The real question now is which of these two heavyweights will be more prepared for the NFL playoffs, as it seems as though it will be one of these two that will untimely advance to the Super Bowl like last year.
Even though the Dallas Cowboys are still a threat, and a case can be made for the Detroit Lions, it seems inevitable that these two teams will meet in the postseason again with a trip to the big game on the line.
